Greg Walker, M.D.Greg Walker, M.D.

Dr. Walker’s dedication to improving quality of life is what makes him a dedicated leader at Summit Urology. Initially drawn into medicine because of family ties and an interest in biological sciences, he admits that the most rewarding part of his career is “improving the quality and length of patient’s lives so they can enjoy their families more.”

Dr. Walker’s vast career also demonstrates this commitment to improving life. After obtaining his degree at the Indiana University School of Medicine, he completed his residency at Southern Illinois University. Dr. Walker maintained a private practice for 13 years before joining Summit Urology. He specializes in brachytherapy (radioactive seed implants) for prostate cancer, prostate cancer, renal cancer and laproscopy. He is also credited with performing the first laparoscopic nephrectomy in Indiana. In addition to practicing medicine, Dr. Walker is an assistant clinical professor in urology at Indiana University School of Medicine.

As a man of medicine and faith, Dr. Walker takes to heart the words of Jesus, “If you have done it unto the least of these my brethren, you have done it unto me.” His approach to patient care (and other daily responsibilities) clearly reflects his commitment to caring for people as a medical professional and a Christian.

In his free time, Dr. Walker takes advantage of the great outdoors—hunting, fishing, photography and videotaping nesting activities of bald eagles on Lake Monroe. He and his wife, Vicky, have three sons.
