Eric M. Smith, M.D.

Dr. Smith has been with Summit Urology since 1994. He is board-certified in urology and specializes in treating prostate cancer, bladder cancer and kidney stones.

He is a member of the American Urological Association and the American Medical Association. He has advanced training in endourology and perineal prostatectomy. He is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons and is a clinical assistant professor of urology at Indiana University School of Medicine. In addition, he is associated with prostate cancer treatment at the Midwest Proton Radiotherapy Institute.

After graduating from Northwestern University and the Indiana University School of Medicine, he completed his general surgery residency and his urology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland. While a resident, he authored or co-authored twelve scientific articles and book chapters.

Dr. Smith is also a history buff, tennis player and fisherman, but perhaps his most defining job is being a father to three small children.
